Working with Us

Step by Step

Throughout our time in the industry, we’ve developed a tried-and-true process that will have your car repaired to every standard and back on the road in no time.

Pre-Scan

We first do an initial scan of the vehicles’ electronic systems to determine which systems are operating as they should, and which ones aren’t. This helps us paint a better picture of the collision and which systems have been affected.

Disassembly

Disassembly

We complete a 100% disassembly of every vehicle to determine the repairs that need to be completed and the parts needed to do so. Oftentimes, there is underlying damage that cannot be seen just by looking at the car – it must be disassembled to write an accurate repair plan.

Body Work

Body Work

This is where the reparations begin. The car is taken into the body department to complete all major repairs needed before the vehicle can be painted.

Paint

Paint

Once the body of the vehicle has been repaired, it goes to the paint department so that we can repaint each of the sections we worked on, matching the color exactly to the rest of the vehicle.

Reassembly

Reassembly

After the car is repaired and all the appropriate parts are painted, we can then start to reassemble the vehicle back to its pre-accident condition.

Post Scans

Post Scans

After the car has been fully reassembled, we then scan the vehicle again to make sure that all electronic systems are operating as they were designed to. If the vehicle’s safety system requires a calibration, that is also addressed at this point to ensure it is safe before it gets back on the road.

Detail

Detail

Before getting the customer back into their car, we put a final coat of wax on the panels that we’ve painted and do a full detail, so the car is clean and feeling like new when the customer picks it up.

What do I do after getting into an accident?

Contact the responsible insurance company* to get an estimate for repair, and then book an appointment with us online.

* If you have Amica, you don’t need to get an estimate from the insurance company. We are part of their Direct Repair Program, which means we will conduct the estimate in-house during your appointment.

Do I have to take my car to the auto repair shop suggested by my insurance company?

No, according to Connecticut state laws, you have the right to select the auto repair shop of your choice.

Do I need to bring the vehicle in to get an estimate?

No, estimates can be provided by the insurance company. We will work off their estimate and conduct our own repair plan during your scheduled appointment. To get the most accurate estimate, we need to disassemble and thoroughly assess the vehicle so that we can diagnose beyond visible damage.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No, unfortunately we need to schedule time in advance to assess each vehicle’s damage, which often requires disassembly of the vehicle.

Do I need to get estimates from multiple body shops?

Nope! We will work off the responsible insurance company’s estimate.

Will you put aftermarket parts on my car?

No, we only use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts for repairs.

What is your warranty?

We offer a lifetime warranty on repairs for as long as you own your vehicle.
